Welcome to “AS 1100” – Nuday’s Next Generation Network

We are excited to announce the completion of our latest upgrade at Nuday’s networks. We proudly welcome our clients to experience “AS 1100”, our newly enhanced autonomous number designed to provide superior performance, reliability, and connectivity. As a result of this upgrade, we have successfully reduced latency to other networks, ensuring faster and more efficient data transmission for our clients.

What is AS1100?

AS1100 refers to Nuday’s unique Autonomous System (AS) number registered with global internet authorities. An Autonomous System is a collection of IP networks and routers under the control of a single organization that presents a common routing policy to the internet. By operating as an AS, we have greater control over the data traffic entering and exiting our network, allowing us to optimize performance and enhance security for our clients.

Enhanced Infrastructure and Connectivity

As part of this upgrade, we’ve upgraded state-of-the-art routers to ensure faster and more reliable data transmission. Our network is now more robust than ever, thanks to the addition of two new Tier 1 internet service providers (ISPs): GTT and Arelion. These new providers join our existing lineup of Tier 1 providers, Cogent and Zayo, to significantly boosting our bandwidth and redundancy.

Lowest Average AS Path Length:

Having 4x Tier 1 Providers, Nuday’s Average AS Path Length to other global networks is now at 3.64 which is considered very low. Here is the example of some other Canadian networks :

Nuday AS 1100 :3.64
Rogers AS 812 : 3.98
Bell Canada AS 577 : 4.32
Beanfield AS 21949 : 3.89
Amanah AS 32489 : 3.799
Coloware AS 18997 : 3.72
eStruxture AS 10929 : 4.30

Expanding Our Reach with Toronto Internet Exchange

In addition to our direct ISP connections, Nuday is now a proud member of the Toronto Internet Exchange (TorIX). TorIX is the largest and most active internet exchanges in Canada, providing direct peering with numerous networks. This membership allows us to further reduce latency, improve data transfer speeds, and enhance the overall internet experience for our clients.

Peering with Rogers Communications

As one of the largest networks in Canada, Rogers provide Internet service to many businesses in Canada. With the direct Nuday-Rogers peering, the traffic between the two networks are directly routed without going trough a 3d party network.

What This Means for Our Clients

The AS1100 upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality of service. Our clients can now benefit from:

  • Improved Network Performance: Faster and more reliable internet connections.
  • Increased Redundancy: Reduced risk of downtime with multiple ISPs and TorIX membership.
  • Optimized Routing: Better control over data traffic for more efficient and secure internet usage.

We are excited about these improvements and confident they will provide significant benefits to our clients. Thank you for choosing Nuday’s colocation services. We look forward to continuing to serve your needs with our upgraded AS1100 network.
